I've been with Evergreen FS for 16 years. My day is spent between the accounts receivable and account managing. I enjoy being part of a growing team and being able to see how my work affects the big picture. The most challenging and rewarding thing about my career is the same thing: keeping the customer satisfied. As part of our mission, Evergreen FS is dedicated to supporting central Illinois growers and propane and fuel customers with products and services. The company offers training to anyone to who meets the eligibility criteria–a nice opportunity for anyone who loves the farming industry or has recently finished school and is looking to begin a new career. Evergreen FS shows they are committed to their mission statement which helps build a successful business partnership with customers, employees, and cooperative owners.
"I chose this career path because the agriculture industry was interesting to me, but I was not sure of what I wanted to do long term. Evergreen FS has given me the option to try out different positions and see what I like. I started as an operator and have moved to the energy side of the company. I love interacting with customers and building great relationships with them. I earned my certification as Propane Advisor to better help my customers."
Evergreen FS has always been known to be a good company in the community, and I wanted to be a part of that. I’ve been with the company for 14 years, started as a part-timer in 2009, and then became full-time shortly after. I maintain athletic fields and golf courses for FS Custom Turf, applying all of the chemical and fertilizer that each location needs to keep it looking its best. I like being outside, and if I am able to make the outside a little bit greener and weed-free that’s a big bonus.. It's also pretty amazing to see an area that you treat be recognized on a national scale, a field I maintain was seen on national TV, and other fields were featured in magazines!
